Potential No. 1 Pick LaMelo Ball According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, he’ll be one of the potential customers to take part in the revamped virtual draft combine this week. Ball plans to attend team interviews and media conferences this week, but likely won’t be in any other segments, SI.com’s Jeremy Woo warns (via Twitter).

While Ball’s participation may be limited, many of this year’s other top prospects didn’t attend the event at all. As Woo pointed out (via Twitter), Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman, Obitopine, Onyeka Okonwu, Cole Anthony, Aaron Nesmith, Devin Wasserand Sadiq Bay Is one of the players who did not appear on the list of participants sent by the NBA.

In addition to Ball, the list of top prospects who will be attending the event includes Precious Achiuwa, Denis Avdia, Tyrese Halliburton, RJ Hampton, Killian Hayes, Theo Maltonand Isaac Okoro,and many more.

The NBA is unable to hold a typical in-person draft this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the league has organized an alternate draft that will conduct interviews via videoconference as well as produce a “Pro Day” video that will include strength and agility tests, human Measurement and shooting training. Participants will also undergo medical tests and examinations.
